The 2nd Energy Economics and Environmental Conference (EEEC)

The Energy Economics and Environmental Conference (EEEC) is an academic event that brings together researchers from Kyushu University, Kyoto University, Ritsumeikan University, and other institutions to exchange ideas and discuss topics related to energy economics, energy environment, and sustainability.

Originally held as a series of seminars and workshops, the event has grown into an academic conference as the number of participants has increased.

The 1st EEEC was held at Kyushu University’s Ito Campus.  This year’s conference, the 2nd EEEC, took place in September 2026 at Ritsumeikan University’s Biwako-Kusatsu Campus (BKC).

Through research presentations and lively discussions conducted in English, the conference provides an opportunity for international academic exchange across universities and research fields.

We are also delighted to announce that Mr. Kawaguchi, a PhD student in our lab, received an award at the conference! Congratulations!
