Feb 2019: New Review Paper published in IJHE

This month, a collaborative research effort between Kyushu University (I2CNER and the Urban Institute), Kagawa University, University of Tokyo, University of Texas at Austin (the Energy Institute), Imperial College and Toyota Motor Company entitled “A review of four cause studies assessing the potential for hydrogen penetration of the future energy system” was published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. This joint research effort includes a consideration of a global energy system analysis including hydrogen, social welfare economics, US transport, and, UK gas grid decarbonization.

We found that hydrogen can provide benefits both in terms of energy provision, storage and decarbonization. We look forward to progressing our joint research in the future!
