This year, the Japan Society for Energy and Resources (JSER) annual conference was held in the Komaba Campus of Tokyo University.
I presented some new research, in collaboration with Nagasaki University (Dr Shigetomi) and Tohoku University (Dr Ohno) about the Impacts of Global Energy Transitions on Social Equity.
This research is quite new, and deals with the question “does the transition toward a renewable energy future improve social equity?”
Thank you to the attendees who asked many questions and challenged me, particularly regarding sources of renewables, cultural underpinnings and future data sources which may corroborate our findings.
